		<description>I enjoyed your account of your visit to Manley. I just visited (for the first time!) this past weekend, even though I have lived in AK for more than 7 years. 

Thankfully the fires have been squelched by rain, but the devastation is quite apparent from the road.

I&#039;m not a &#039;soaker&#039; so I wasn&#039;t in search of the springs, but did enjoy talking to Connie - the manager (?) of the Roadhouse and enjoying a soda before driving back to Fairbanks. 

I&#039;m working on my photos now and hope to make a blog entry (linked above) today or tomorrow. It&#039;s neat to see your photos.
